Telephone conversations with Putin will not end the war: expert assesses whether Trump has a backup plan

Donald Trump, Putin

Political expert and military serviceman Alexander Musienko said that the Trump administration does not have a clear strategy and vision for ending the Russian-Ukrainian war, and this is already clear, Politeka reports.
He wrote about this in his blog.

"I talked about the US foreign policy strategy under Trump's leadership and what can be expected. And here we can clearly see a situation in which the 47th US President had a plan to quickly begin certain actions aimed at the negotiation process in order to end the war," notes Alexander Musienko.

And within the framework of this strategy, Trump, he notes, used levers of influence and elements of pressure on Ukraine, suspending aid, intelligence, etc., and it was within the framework of this strategy that the quarrel in the White House occurred during Zelensky's visit. However, the expert adds, Ukraine has entered into a constructive dialogue, and Trump has not put pressure on Russia, only an imitation of pressure without real actions, since he expected that telephone conversations with Putin would work.

"And what next? There is no strategy. Let's wait, think about what to do. Ukraine offers real steps - so take this as a basis, we are giving certain solutions. Why not talk about it? No, let's wait, perhaps, for something else. What? It is not clear. Because without putting pressure on Russia, and without allowing Ukraine to conduct a global "Web", or Operation Anaconda, or "Web 2.0", "Web 3.0", or any other that will allow us to strangle and destroy the Russian empire, how else can this be solved? There is no answer," explains Alexander Musienko.

Instead, the expert states, Trump continues to give Putin time and hesitates in making a decision. As he says, the US President recently said in an interview that Putin may not care how many soldiers he loses in Ukraine, but we will see what happens next. That is, the expert emphasizes, this is Trump's plan now - to see what happens next.
